some questions

Okay,
some I have a few random questions.

#1. How long can it take a beardie to shed?

My leather back, is taking forever it seems. He has shed his legs, tail, and head..but not his main body yet. My normal is able to shed everything in about 48hrs. My LB started shedding on Sunday, so its been about 4days. Just wondering if I need to buy something or do something to help him shed? I give all my beardies daily baths.

#2. Is a bearded pooping in a bath water a sign of trouble or normal?
I don't really remember my old dragon doing this, but my new ones all do it every bath time.

#3. Should/Can you keep several beardies together?
Now, I have always been under the impression that you keep them separated, unless they are breeding adults (and you are breeding them).

A book I recently read (was bored waiting on my crickets at petsmart) said that you should keep them in pairs and if the housing is large enough, one male to four females. They book said this needed to be done because they are social. I then came across on a different site where someone (not a breeder but pet owner) had stated in a post that they kept young ones together this way.

I currently keep mine all separated, and I plan to get more..so I thought I'd get other ideas/thoughts on this.

Okay, sorry for the weird questions.

1) up to 2weeks or so is totally common for shedding, so don't worry about it.

2) no, they just get relaxed because of the warm water and it feels really good. no problems at all. some people's actually will only poo in the water.

3) no, not unless you are breeding them. they are NOT social animals, they are solitary and territorial and like to have their own space. the people who are keeping dragons together are just constantly risking them fighting and dominance issues.

just keep them separated like you are doing.
