Enclosure question

My juvenile bearded dragon is about 6-7 inches long and in a 15 gallon aquarium. I have already built its adult enclosure (4x2x2) and it is ready for him to move in. My question is, when can I move him into it. I don't want him to be stressed out with too much space but im excited to get him into the new enclosure?

There's no hurry, especially if you have only had him a short period of time. Each dragon is different, some will get stressed when moved in to a new tank, [ and maybe not eat too well for a week or so] and others won't be bothered at all. What you COULD do is put him in for a little " play-time" every day or every other day to see how he acts in it, then put him back in the 15 gal. again after an hour or so. If he seems perfectly at home in there, and will take food, then your'e probably fine. But, in general, a little dragon should be in a smaller tank....maybe wait until he's about 9-10" long.

Ok, thank you. I do put him in there about every other day just to see what he does (it took me about a week to make it so I'm excited to see him in there), but then I take him out and put him back in his smaller tank. He seems to like it in there... he climbs the back wall to get to the basking spot and roams around checking it out. I haven't tried to feed him in it yet though, I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks again for the advice
