With the advent of grassroots media production, peolple around the world are now able to publish videos for free. As a videoblogger, and a reptile enthusiast, I believe the time has arrived for us to combine the two. Imagine being able to share video footage of your herp adventures and herp related activities with a worldwide audience. Show off your herps, produce your own reptile show, show some nice field herping video; the possibilities are limitless. And it's FREE. All you need is a digital video camera, and a resonably modern computer.
Uploading and storing your work to the internet is now free, thanks to the Internet Archive. Just go to
Freevlog, and they show you how to do it. I have started a videoblog at ourmedia.org as a "meeting place" for us to share videos. It's called Rocket's Reptile Videos.
If this idea intrigues you, I encourage you to give it a look.
This is not an advertisement; I am not out to make money, just trying to start what I hope to be a new and cool kind of club.
Regards, Ritchie Rocket
