Good News

He finally pigged out for me! He nibbled on his greens and ate a few supers with some much needed supplements!

I hope we're finally back on track here. It was such a great feeling!

i typed a reply guess it didnt go through.
a few things that might help if you decide that you dont wanna put him into brumation.

- feed him light, leave him hungry. dont feed him until he's full. might help him hold a steady appetite.
- dont leave crix or worms walking around his tank. if he doesnt eat them take them out
- and you may want to leave him with a shorter light cycle than you were originally doing.

I didn't feed him "all he could eat" just for that reason. I figured if he has his appetite, he's hungry, and therefor would want to eat more next time. The other two things I mentioned I do or have been doing regularly. The light cycle is shorter and I never leave the food in his cage.

I will be uploading photos of him from today out free roaming. :-)

Like I said, I was going to post some pics... I took some pics of him today after he ate and was running around owning the house.

No, I haven't gotten a fecal done yet, but I still plan on doing it. I need to get one done wether he needs it or not, because I dont know when the last time, if ever, he had one done. To be honest, funds are tight and other things have to come first right now. So unless he shows me a reason to get it done again, it will just have to wait a little bit.

Glad to hear that he's eating Danielle..he looks good..yeah,feed insects on the light side and encourage the greens. If he's had a good diet,he will not need much supplementation.

I meant the much needed supplementation because of how long he hasn't ate. I don't know how long it takes to have MBD set in or start, so that was also worrying me. So I was glad to have him take some dusted supers.

Thanks, I try to do what's best for him (and all my others too).

And thanks for all the advice guys! You were all very helpful and so wonderful :-)

Next update will hopefully be a good one - clean fecal exam! *crosses fingers*
