Six of these just came out of my female dusky pig. She has had ample opportunity to breed with a male, but I have not observed any breeding. That is not to say that none occurred, as I left so they might have some privacy. Actually, I left them and went off to do other things.
Anyhooo..... Does anyone know what these are? They are solid, (dried) egg yolk-like all the way through. Nothing resembling any developing embryo inside.
She is eating just fine, and appears perfectly healthy.
Slugs they are. If breeding took place, it wasn't fertile. brings back memories of my "surprise" babies. I had put the male and female together for a display I was doing...never thought anything of it (wasn't really the right time of year) until I walked in one day a few months later and had 5-6 babies in the cage.
