I, along with many others, have had a very bad experience with Scott Solar and his partner of AMAZON REPTILES.  He sold me an Egyptian tortoise which was sick and, although he did finally agree to give me back some of my money, his baligerant, condescending, egotistical attitude from the mention of any problem, was deplorable.  I have never dealt with anyone so impossible and I only wish that it was not subsequent to my dealings with this person that I found out from so many others that he cannot be trusted before I had dealt with him.  Even more diabolical, after posting a complaint on the kingsnake forum, he proceded to somehow (I have no idea how at all) gain access and copy very personal emails of mine about my health problems, alter them, and send them out to people to try to "convince" them that I was crazy of sorts.  Unfortunately for Scott Solar, he stupidly sent one to someone I know and he sent me what Mr. Solar had sent him.  My friend could also not believe that anyone would do something so pathetic and deplorable.  Scott lies outright to make anything look better for his side of the story.  He believes that he knows everything about everything and is impossible to deal with if he has anything conceived to lose.  His business partner (which I at first thought was very professional and fair) is no better and actually left at least one very insulting and verging-on profane message on my machine when all I had ever been to this man was reasonable.  Never do business with Amazon Reptiles.  If you are lucky you will have no problems and just exchange money and go on.  But if ANYTHING goes wrong or if he can manipulate things such that he will gain; I promise you that he will and I could send you a list of others I have heard from at this point that would eagerly concede.

Scott and Mike have always been very professional with my wife and I in many dealings with them. &nbsp;Few people, that I know of, &nbsp;have actually had bad experiences with them. Aren't you the same person that was dragging Amazon's name in the dirt on the public newsgroup awhile (several months ago) back and got no satisfaction there? &nbsp; You have left out many facts of the purchase that would add substantive effect to your purported bad dealing with Amazon. How long was the tortoise in your possession for before it died? Did you check the animal's health with a vet to ensure it wasn't a husbandry problem that made the animal sick? Or do the same to ensure that it was the retailer's fault? Was the animal an import (I know nothing of tortoises) and as such was there a reasonable expectation of some import related problems? Which I would doubt because every animal that I have seen leave Amazon is well hydrated, feeding, &nbsp;and wormed if need be before it is sold. I'm sorry you allege you had a bad dealing with Amazon, but the majority of us do not. If there is ever any discrepancy, Amazon works with the buyer-even if its not their fault. You were even offered a refund-so what happened with that? It seems as though you mainly cite a dislike of Scott's personality as to why Amazon is a disreputable company. &nbsp; If thats the case then simply don't deal with him again-don't try to hurt his business. It is a shame when there are so few good reptile shops, such as Amazon, that there name gets soiled by buyers that don't tell the whole story. No I don't own any stock in Amazon, but I do know that it is one, if not the, cleanest most reputable places in California to buy reptiles! <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
