I have had too many e-mails and calls expressing anger about this post from Ernie Eisen of Exotica Reptiles, so lets get this aired out.

(U.S. Wildlife Service vows to fight animal trafficking)

One of the Florida residents, Matthew Lerer, was sentenced June 25 to 6 months electronically monitored home detention, 100 hours of community service, and 3 years' probation.

This was posted after a few guys expressed their good dealings with me so I think it was a low blow, party crasher type thing.

Why would anyone do this??? If I did something wrong in the animal business and got in trouble for it, I deserved it. But it is not up to someone like Ernie Eisen or anyone else to post it in order to discredit me. It's public knowledge and can be found through searches but to do it out of spite is a low class maneuver. I have never met or to my knowledge even talked to Ernie. But I do hear from a few people now and then how much he hates me. I guess I am a bad guy who knows. All I know about him is that he lives on the west coast of florida and likes hot stuff. I have no problem with him or his company. So I don't know why the hard feelings. Maybe he can respond and let me and everyone else know what I did to piss him off. This way maybe everyone can give their opinions publicly. Has anyone had any good or bad dealings with him? I have never dealt with him so I am neutral on that subject.

I do not know nor have I dealt with Ernie. Nor do I ever intend to. No matter what he has or what price he offers it for. I do not take too kindly to attacks on people that I consider as friends.

Matt,

First I strongly agree that anyone dealing in ILLEGAL Wildlife needs and will be prosecuted to the fullest of the law. But I also believe that such persons can learn and move on past those dealing and become a good person in the Reptile industry. &nbsp;Unfortunately not all that are found doing illegal trade learn from their mistakes and move on. &nbsp;If you learned and moved on to be a good guy in the Legal Realm (which I belive you have done) than your past should not be anything more than a reminder to you to stay on the right road.

Yeah Rob, you don't need to tell ME twice. At the time I thought, how can I get in trouble for this? Well I was wrong and I did. Never again. But to post it for others to see because someone has a personal gripe with me is unforgivable. The guys who are really PO'D are the others in the business who have got into trouble before. This Ernie guy burned a lot of bridges. I was on the phone with a buddy of mine this morning and as his broadcast was going out he noticed it was going to Ernie and he stopped it. One bridge.

It sounds to me like a little man named Ernie Eisen has a big chip on his shoulder. &nbsp;Ernie often likes to open his yap up in order to unsuccessfully bash people, as he has done to me in the past as well. &nbsp;The truth is Matt, he's really a nobody who's pissed off that he is no longer getting dibs on anything at Burgandy Reptiles. &nbsp;

You did the deed, paid the price, learned your lesson and have moved on. &nbsp;There's no shame in that. &nbsp;What is a shame though is that some folks have to hide behind the comfort and safety of the internet in order to take pot shots at others. &nbsp;Live life Mat, comments like Ernie's obviously have no bearing in reality. &nbsp;

Hey Matt, don't forget to pick me some nice Amazons from Mike's next shipment!

It sounds like this guy is just envious of you. I don't know you but have seen enough of your ads & how fast you sell your various amazons & seeing multiple good post on boi about you that if I was into Emeralds I would of dealt with you without hesitation. Your past is just that Past, he needs to move on just like your doing. This will probably just come back to bite him on the @ss.

I was surfing the real Arboreal site and saw some posts where JoePolanco was stealing adds from other websites to increase the traffic on his . spam_That is just to funny and very sad. spam_He cant se what it is doing to his reputaion. spam_Wait scratch that, his already bad rep cant get worse can it?

Thanks for the post but save the Joe stuff for the d-g-s section. This post has to do with Ernie E-i-s-O-n, not Eisen. Sorry Ernie for the spelling. Well Ernie e-mailed me but said nothing except I spelled his name wrong. I guess he has nothing to say on the subject.
