Ok, I sold this guy a dragon pair for$315 shipped. I stated they came from Sandfire(Female) and Hypo/Snow(Male) backgounds. I never said they were screamers or high quality. I even provided pics. He asked tons of questions, Whitch I replyed to immediatly. The one problem was he wanted to know how big the base of the tail was, I got a taylors tape measure and measured the circumferance, He actually wanted the width across( but never specified). So he paid and I shipped. He received them and sent me a very hostile e-mail. When I asked what was wrong about them he replyed that they were not brightly colored and their tails were smaller than I stated. I said he saw pics of their color and I told him how I measured their tails. He dropped the color issue and went with the tails were to small. He was not happy, But he never asked for his money back? He said that these were $75 doller dragons? I had lots of offers for the female for $200, But I did not want to split them up.( They were a bonded pair). So I helped send some buyers his way. He was nice from then on. Well he sold them and sent me a horrible e-mail about how to never bother him again. I replyed and asked what I did that was so wrong and he just stated that he did not want anything to do with me. Then I asked how much he sold them for.( I was going to offer to pay the differance if lower than $300). He never replyed, I think he sold them for more then $300. And thats why he doesn't answer e-mails anymore? I don't know if I am in the bad here? Please reply with your opinion. Thanks, Jon <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

John,
I'd not worry any more about it. &nbsp;Don't think I'd want to do business with this individual again, but it sounds as if it worked out for him in the long run. &nbsp;Blow it off as there's not much else you could have done. &nbsp;Pics and described measurements are pretty conclusive and as long as you were up front and above board with everything you're in the clear. &nbsp; Some people can never be made happy. &nbsp; If these were adults, and sometimes even for sub-adults, that price is fair (especially if the buyer thinks so enough to purchase.)

Chock it up to a bad experience, and move on. Add this guy to the list of people not to do business with. IMO, it was a scam to begin with. First off, he complained and was so unhappy. Yet he doesn't ask for a refund. Red flag. So you send buyers his way. He sells the pair and then sends nasty e-mails severing contact with you. Red flag. He knows he made a profit off the deal. So he cuts his ties with you so that you will not catch on to his scam. He has probably done this before. My suggestion to you. Post his name and contact info on here. So that we know who he is and to watch out for him. So that none of us here gets scammed. Also, if you still have his nasty e-mails to you, post them here so we can see how he operates. You did all you could for this guy. Now avoid him like the plague and move on. We got your back. Take care.

He just e-mailed me back and said he lost $50 on the deal. I asked if paying the differance would make things right? I am not sure if he is scamming me or not. I don't want the bad rep, So I might just pay him? Give him the benifit of doubt or not???

Hi Jon,
If you quoted circumferance instead of width he should have first of all been smart enough to realize that something was a bit off. Lets face it: This measurement would have probably been about the same as the widest part of the Dragons body if not larger.
If you let this person bully into giving him money then you might as well hang a red flag on your head inviting every scam artist in the country to buy from you. "This guy is easy and will do anything not to have his rep tarnished."
Don't get me wrong. I don't know you at all but if someone gave me that hard a time up front then I sure wouldn't give him money back since you did nothing wrong to begin with.
This guy sounds like he's trying to get something for nothing as many people out there do these days.
You have to let it go and mark it up to experience. Just remember to make sure you don't assume what the customer wants. Ask questions and make sure you're covered.
Just my opinion based on hundreds of online sales and some experiences very close to yours.
Good luck Jon.
The fact that you care enough to ask questions and want to improve is a good start on the way to success. Just don't let people push you around.

Jon,
IMHO you are right. &nbsp; There are a ton of people out there trying to get something for nothing. &nbsp;Stick to your guns and move on.

Your name will not be tarnished if you don't pay this person the difference that he "claims" to have lost. Merely, he's trying to make you feel guilty for his own unreasonable expectations.

Let's look at the two issues here...
1) Color- he was shown pics beforehand, so he knew what the animals looked like. Moot point.

2)Tail size- You say the measurement you supplied to him was the circumference, and not the diameter, so now he's whining. Imagine if you will a dragon with a tail as wide as the measurement that you gave him. It's not too hard to see that the proportions don't match. Let's assume for a moment that the actual diameter was around one inch (to be able to work with a round number). This would mean the circumference was somewhere around 2.75"-3". If we were to assume that measurement was thee diameter, as our misguided little friend did, that would mean we are dealing with one monster of a dragon! Since he knew the overall size of the dragons, the guy is an idiot for confusing the two dimensions.

There are some people who just cannot be satisfied due to their own unreasonableness. In this case, it's best for you to just avoid this guy altogether in the future. I might even go so far as to warn other sellers of his behavior.

I am in "total" agreement with "everything" that has been said here! You don't owe him a dime! You sent him the buyers, and he sold them....if he was willing to take a $50 loss on them, well...so be it!
Forget about it and move on....Neil

Neil,

SCREW THAT GUY.

You sell him a pair of beardeds and he asks you for pics(You send them) , he asks you to measure tail circumfrensce(For what pruposes may I add) you dos o, and he asks you lots of question which tyou answer.

The guy complains about the beardeds but doesnt want to to send them back for a refund? What the hell is going on here, pray tell?

And then, after emailing you and maligning you he himself takes these "Too small beardeds" and RESELLS them to another buyer.

PLEASE post his name here Neil , so that I can put him on my PERMANENT "Dont ever sell any animals to this person because they are difficult to deal with" LIST.

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; I AM SERIOUS

I have had customers like this, and frankly, if what you say is 100% true ,I feel for you. My advice is post his name, and then stop worrying about him. every castle has trolls in it. Be the King and stop honoreing him with your replies and your time.

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Sincerely,

Neil,

I am sorry for the knee jerk reaction to this subject, but frankly it pisses me off when I see sellers ripping off good customers, or, as in THIS case, a buyer trying to hold a seller hostage and yet still complaining. I maintain my previous statement, post his name here so I can avoid the drama .
