The beardie was shipped and now that you mention it... a heat pack was at the bottom of the box and the container she was in was placed on it. It's been a week and a day since I got her, if it were a burn would it have gotten worse? The mark has faded a little and i'm still using the peroxide and antibiotic. Besides that she's bright eyed, alert and eating.

Probably nothing

I have just been thinking when I posted about the heat pack and I am sure its nothing....marker...did you ask the breeder if he marks on the belly????....I just was trying to find an answer for my Miami Beardie, LOL. I am sure it will fade...I am concerned about the darker hole area. Maybe just marker that seeped into a scale or something...like Sean said the peroxide and AB ointment cannot hurt...so why not...have you heard from the breeder???Take good care Toni....B

I agree that it looks more like a stain than an injury. It's a little too red to be dried blood. Have you fed him any red berries? I've done that before, and they make a mess on themselves! It could also be marker or something. From the picture, the darker spot just looks like it soaked in a little more there. Keep an eye on him and make sure he's acting ok. If it is just a stain, it should go away the next time he sheds.

No word back from the breeder and no, no red berries. Kale's shedding now so we'll see.

Just heard back from the breeder and she said that she made the mark. The spot's fading.
