Website critique

I am trying to work on my BP site and am looking for input (the good, bad and ugly, lol!)

http://www.buckeyeballpythons.com/ is the old one, am having it transferred over to http://nocache.homestead.com/hstrial...rne/index.html once I am all done. Or I am having the latter ahh heck, keeping the domain name, but getting rid of the old site. Anyway, I have just started working on the home and contact page and that is it so far so any input is greatly appreciated.

Critique:
i don't like the black lines on the background, but i don't know if that is something you can fix...
I would like to see a different font in the main texts, I like the font this site has because it isn't too thin or too bold, the font you are using for the main body of your text is a little too thin for my taste. I would also like to see if you can synch up the buttons (Home/about us, etc) to the font you choose as a final font. My suggestion for this would be the font I used on the logo, but only for titles, ad use a plainer font for the body on each page.
On the Home page, I think having only one large photo or your logo filling up most of the brown box would look a little more professional, and have the welcome message below it. I think it would also look better to have the logo instead of plain text (or even just the scripty font) on the top where you have Buckeye Balls, Columbus, OH.
I think a picture on the about us page is necessary, it could be you, or just one of your snakes. On Current Projects, I would align the photos in some way. My preference would be to have your text remain where it is, and have the photos lined up horizonatally under the text, or have them vertically one under another. I would also make the text in the brown box that says:
"Current Projects" bolder in some way.
the Terms page looks like there is too much space on top and too little on the bottom, can you move the text up a few spaces?
On the links page (now I am being nitpicky) I would hit enter in between "helpful," and "I hope"

On the Caresheet page, I would suggest adding a link to Melissa Kaplan's site:

it is one of the most informative careseets I have encountered, plus her site is useful in that it has lots of info about reptilian disease and parasites. the general info is helpful for beginners to read about. She has many articles on balls on her site which have helped me personally.
neat! I like the way it is looking, and thought I like the design on the old site a little better, this one is looking very nice! I think it will be just as attractive once you get allo the kinks worked out.
