No, don't feed it yet it hasn't shed.

The normal shedding process is for the snake to go blue, eyes blue and the body dull and off color. Then the eyes will clear and the body will look cleaner for anywhere from 1 to maybe 4 or even 5 days. Then the snake will shed.

You'll find the skin when it does and the snake will look all bright and shiney.

Once you've gone through it a couple of times you'll know the rythm.

Wes answered your question, but I just wanted to add a little to it. The shedding process for snakes is a very basic knowledge in the care and handling of snakes. I would strongly recommend doing some research or reading on basic snake care and husbandry. In order for you to properly care for your hoggie, you need to have some fundamental knowledge of snakes and their care. Some of this you can pick up on as you go, but it would be a lot easier on you and your animal if you did a little research. There is at least one book out there on hognose snakes and Amazon.com has it in stock. There are several books on basic snake care and husbandry.
