Staying up with current binomial nomenclature

Is there a publication or website that shows changes to nomenclature, or how can I keep up with changes?

Yes there are many and it's a shame no one directed you to them sooner.
All sites dealing with taxonomic changes and nomenclature are literally works in progress and none are complete.
All also have the views of the webmaster stamped all over them.
However a perusal of several may give you an idea of who is who in the zoo so to speak.
One of the better reptile ones is
http://www.reptile-database.org/
although I say this noting that in the context of Australia and a few other places, the webmaster Peter Uetz hasn't a clue to what the real situation is.
However to his credit he usually lists synonyms, meaning that if his opinion isn't correct, it is possible to flesh out the alternatives.
The ICZN is trialling a database and these are a few others out there as well, although at this stage the Uetz site seems to have the jump on the rest in terms of completeness.
I hope this helps.

This is a must-see for all taxonomists as they see the Zoological Code blown to Smitherines by the Wuster Nazi gang.

The newest textbook Herpetology has a publication date of 2014 (earning a chuckle among my students) and is up to date on taxonomy and current research.
