Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Couple questions
I recently picked up a Ca boa and I'm at a loss on the sex. I'm pretty sure I'm probing it right and it comes up 5 scales on both sides. Female or male?
What should I look for when picking a pastel boa. Don't know if its not good pics or cameras that don't catch the color but most seem like clean normal boas to me. In need of some pastel education. Already read the Ronne definition on pastels and it hasn't helped much on what to look for.

Female usally probe 2-4 subcaudal scales, Neonate males 7-8, Adult males 10-12. Adult males usally have larger spurs and a thicker tail then females. Hope this helps Tommy D.

She has visible spurs but her tail seems to be long and slender. I'm assuming that would probably mean a deep female then. Thanks for the help.
