Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

WE HAVE BABIES!!! Born in New Years morning
I knew she was about to have her babies last night since she was holding her tail up off and on for hours. But alas I ran out of steam around 4am and fell asleep watching tv. But when I got up at 9 I found BABIES! They look to all be healthy and alive. Only 1 slug out of the bunch and no still births as of yet. Nice and plump and their yolks are gone so they are full term. What a great thing to wake up to in the morning. ANd as for the mother, she is fine and even though she did move towards her babies to check out what I was doing, she made no moves to strike at me and let me rub her head like I do 2 or 3 times each day since she has been pregnant. ANyhow, here are the first pictures. There is even one of me rubbing mommy's head.

Lucky Duck!
For most people who wake up having to clean up a mess on New Year's day, its because someone had a little "too much cheer"! I would love to have to clean up the mess from those cuties...they look great! Congratulations.

Yea, I will save that one for you for sure. LOL! My best head count so far puts them at around 25 live births/0 still births/1 slug. No stripers as I have seen yet, so mom's stripe may not be genetic, but there are some real pink babies that surely take after dad. All appear to be healthy and mom is watching over them carefully now and moving the ones that are still in their birth sacks around to get them active. Funny thing is that she won't let them get past her into the other parts of the cage yet. She shakes her head at them and nudges them (not to gently either) back into the pile. I will leave them with her for until they have all come ut of the birth sacks and them move them to a large tub.

The final count is 28 live babies, 1 slug and no still births. Not too bad for her first clutch. They have been moved to a nursery tub and mom, although she watched me closely, never struck at me or showed any aggression. Thank god!
