Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

DLibby, Sam Sundberg, and Backwater reptiles
This is mostly to serve as a warning for now but will likely turn into a bad guy thread.
user Dlibbysent me money on april 1st and picked up in person 15 laotriton from me on april 2nd. He recently filed a PayPal claim on 6/27 (88 days later) claiming they were not as described and wanting a refund.
His username here is DLibby and his name is David Libby, but that is not the onlyinformation he contacts you with or uses.
He also uses the name "Sam Sundberg" and the email's greentreefrogger@gmail.com and sundberg.sam@gmail.com
sundberg.sam@gmail.com is the PayPal name used.
I find the connection to sam sundberg to be interesting. Sam sundberg lives about 20 miles from me in Rocklin CA and owns backwater reptiles.

His picture on the backwater website, also looks remarkably like if not exactly like the guy that picked up the laotriton from me in Rocklin CA.

I forgot to mention, I know sam lives in rocklin because I previously worked for Aqua life aquarium which had a store three doors down from sam's chameleons off taylor road. I also worked for Steve Sykes of GeckosETC, which sold geckos to backwater and were picked up in person.

Nathan, what was the name and address on the PP payment? That might help track down who this really is.

Though I've never been through this, Paypal buyer protection officially does not cover items bought in person:
https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mp...y-and-security
Based on what you said above, the only interaction online was to arrange the meeting between you and the buyer; the actual sale occurred at the time the animals changed hands.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The items were purchased on 4/1/19 via a PayPal transaction. At that time we were still discussing shipping and eventually decided to meet the next day at a FedEx regional Hub when we realized it would have been shipped/received at the same building.

I guess when I first asked for "Sam"'s name and address -- I meant street address -- I was concerned that someone (Dlibby) might be impersonating someone else (presumably you used PP 'goods and services', so there would've been a physical address listed that could be used to confirm that the person at issue is in fact Sam Sundberg). That has happened here before -- a relative nobody impersonating someone well-known.
After not much research at all, though, I realized that there is no reason to doubt that Sam Sundberg is indeed the person who you dealt with, and who is attempting to scam you.
I'm not certain about all the official wording in PP's buyer protection. Is a package that is transferred by hand covered under that protection? It might be worth looking into, whether searching PP's website or contacting PP directly to ask.
Certainly the fact that the claim is made so long after the transaction, coupled with Sam's primary allegation about the size of the animals (which could've been dealt with at delivery), should be enough to defend against Sam's completely fictitious complaint, but every angle might well be pursued just in case.

Perhaps this is obvious, but: the fact that Sam has impersonated other people online in the past should be presented to PP in explaining that Sam is simply trying to scam you.

Thanks for all the help John, PayPal resolved the dispute in my favor, and I don’t foresee this going further.
