Sub-Saharan ball pythons

So I saw an ad for "Big Gene" ball pythons on this site, and my girl bought them for me for my 30th birthday (coming in 10 days).
Thought I would show them off.

The smaller one is 2300 grams.

The larger girl is 2700 grams (biggest female I have currently.)

And this is their mother. If I remember correctly he said she is like 4400 grams or somewhere in that area.
He had her for sale, but decided to hold onto her...and I can't blame him.

Anyone else have any "Monster" ball pythons?
I have plans for these girls.
One is going to my Red Axanthic. I think some female het reds that can get that big would be nice.
The other...probably my captive hatched male YB. What better way to start my own line then by making GIANT females? Hehehe.

my biggest girl is pushing close to 3000 grams.... I bought her as an adult and don't know how old she is....

How old are your two females? Do you know the age of that 4400 gram monster?

congrats on your new snakes and on turning 30! I'm six months behind ya.....

I have a girl who's about 3200 g at the moment after a four and a half month fast. She normally OV's about april - may so at her feeding rate will probably be close to 5k by that time.

Oscar the grouch is our biggest and I have a hard time weighing her because of her attitude, but, she is larger then our fat 2800 gram girl and the babies Oscar produced last season are already at or past breeding size. I kept back one of the female cinnies from the clutch and she weighs in at 1100 grams already and will be ready to go this season for sure, but, have to wait for her to hit the 18 month mark. Shes only a year old right now. Two of my friends have two other cinny females from that clutch and they are just as big and someone I know has a male cinny from the clutch and he is past breeding size. So, big genes are good. The babies (not counting the twins) from the clutch were 135 grams out of the egg if I remember corrrectly.

I think I am going to breed my captive hatched male Yellowbelly to one of them. What better way to start my own line then by making them giants?

My girls are 2006 babies.

Being new to ball pythons, my largest doesnt really compare. However, I thought I might contribute to the thread anyways.

My largest would be my first ever BP, Frank... Frank the Tank - being that he certainly enjoys eating. Currently ~1850g. No idea on age.

Man, I'd love to see one of these big girls in person! My biggest girl is in the 2500 gram range, and she's a monster! Looks more like a blood python than a ball! (She reached 1500 grams in one year, and I didn't feed her any differently than the rest of my collection.)

Big for a male, yes, but not impossible! The brother to the girl I just mentioned was ~1625 last month (at two years old), and he's still eating like a pig.

I honestly can't wait for them to get bigger. As it stands, the 2700 gram female is the largest I currently have (with a 2400 gram female I got for free on Craigslist being 2nd).

It's going to be an interesting next season.
