Today I found my DH sunglow male dead in his cage. He was the first snake that we purchased, and i had grown quite attatched to him. He's been struggleing with a respirtory infection (unusual bacterias) for nearly a year, and we've done many cultures, and have tried many many antibitotics over this time but the bacteria has been hard to get at. I'm bringing him in for a necropsy today. He had never missed a meal besides 2 days ago (should have been a tip off). Ugh, i'm rambling now, its just sad.

Thanks everyone for your concern, I know a lot of us have lost animals and its never easy. It is nice to have support, since most people I know don't even understand how I could keep snakes let alone care about them.
Sorry for your loss Bro'. Really sucks to lose an animal.
Curious, you said you tried many AB's, was Tylosin in that list? (Tylan 50, or 200) It's not traditionally a "reptile" anti-biotic, but some success has been noted with resistant strains of respiratory infections. Maybe something to remember in the future if it wasn't tried.
