Question Tips for feeding our Bufo Alvarius Toads Dubia Roaches

We are feeding our Bufo Alvarius Toads Dubia Roaches for our first time and we are not sure how exactly to do it. We were thinking about just throwing them in their home like we do crickets. Would that be a good idea? Also, any tips on keeping the roaches healthy so they will live long and be good food for our toads to eat?

Dubia can and will burrow intot he substrate. Put them in a small plastic bowl and bury it enough so the toads can see wassup. Being non-climbers, they will not be able to escape; and you get the added benfit of quickly and easily knowing how much food was consumed. You can even try hand feeding if you like, but that can be a waste of time in anurans (though caudates take readily to it). As for roach maintanence--easy--keep them warm (like mid eighties), hydrated (fruits or water crystals, I use fruits); and keep them fed and they will do great. I clean the bin once a month, and pretty soon feel like I will have surplus roaches; as they breed like crazy.
