Texas Alligator Lizard

Thought I'd share a pic of three Gerrhonotous infernalis that hang out around my place. They are native to west and central Texas and grow to be 10-16 inches.

Those are very cool lizards. I had a pair of them about 10 years ago. Do you know of anyone breeding them?

I know several people that have successfully bred them, but they usually lay in the fall. They will be fairly common again around Austin's greenbelts when they weather cools.

Thumbs up Actually....

The clutches I have hatched over the years have been laid in April and hatch in May & June. We just hatched out about 60 of them.
