Hello fellow herp-lovers!
My name is Robyn Romm, I'm 21 years old and I live in Sedona, Arizona. I've had a passion for reptiles since I was about 5, and I currently have 5 snakes(soon to be 6, once the GTP I ordered shows up). 3 Corn Snakes, 1 Ball Python, and 1 Red-Tail Boa(who may or may not be part
Boa Constrictor Imperator, I'm not sure). I also have 2 cats(used to be 3 but we had to put one of them down several months ago as she was suffering from kidney failure) and a dog.
In the past I have had a few other Corns(all have gone to other owners and are thriving with them), a Mexican Black King Snake(went to another owner who breeds her), an Amazon Tree Boa(who died of BIBD a month after I got him
), a Sonoran Gopher Snake(wild-caught, released after two years because I was turning thirteen and would have needed to obtain a herping license in order to keep him; I hope he's still out there and living a good life), and 2 Yellow-Throated Plated Lizards(they were in very poor shape when I rescued them from an aquarium store that was closing, and despite my best efforts, both died soon after I brought them home). Not to mention various fish.
I'm currently in community college, getting my GE requirements out of the way before heading to university for a bio degree of some sort. Career-wise, I want to work with venomous critters, milking them for venom to make antivenin.
I'm a fairly textbook geek, both my parents are, in their own words, recycled aerospace engineers. My mom now teaches chemistry and physics at our local high school, and my dad is a calibration specialist at W. L. Gore.
I'm an avid sci-fi and fantasy reader, you're more likely to find me with my nose buried in a book(or reading on my computer as the case may be) than playing video games or going outside(I HATE the hot weather here). I also like reading and writing fanfiction, and my favorite fandom is Tron. Umm...I think that's all there really is to say.
