Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

I purchased 30 Russian tortoises from him in the summer.
All outstanding animals. Could not ask for any better
Communication, packing or quality of animals
I was extremely happy.

well, sad to say there was no response from Thomas. I had no reason to believe he wouldn't come though that's why I gave it such a long time. In the end he didn't come through. I hope he is well. However, I did put in a dispute with my CC company, gave it a shot, and they did credit me today.

Thank you for the update and while it is unfortunate that the deal was not completed as hoped, it is good news that you were able to recover your funding via the dispute process.

How does this work ? They just don't take your word for it do they ... didn't they have to contact him and have him confess he didnt follow through with his end ?
Happy you got a full refund .... you were MORE than patient with him.

No, I had to make a claim on my credit card against a reptile supplier and I was credited back simply because they did not respond to the credit card issuer, I'm glad it worked out and you got your money back. Too many thieves and trolls these days.

I had to file a CC dispute once too. Basically, I just signed a form giving my statement and they credited my account. The offender had a few days to respond which they never did.

I was curious about how they went about it . It seems if they don't get a response from the other side, it goes in your favor. I was just wondering what his excuse to the CC company was ... but no response to them, either.
Blows me away how many scammers and con artists are in the herp hobby ... seems like eveybody wants to be a Ty Parks.

My cc company was Wells Fargo, I made a complaint and provided evidence. The supplier had 60 days to respond and provide evidence, they did not respond to the notice and lost by default. In my instance I had made a charge in Nov 17 and a duplicate charge appeared on my bill in early 18. I believe this was intentional as the party that I was dealing with was uncooperative, did it to others, and couldn't reconcile his own books.

Are you serious ? He kept you cc info and tried to run another order through months later ?? How about doing us all a favor and name them so can avoid him/her.
It's this kind of scammer that has me never dealing from herp classifieds
again unless I am close enough to drive there and do the deal in person with cash.

I will do a future boi. it wasn't through here ( Ive never had a problem with a seller here) and it was someone I would have ordinarily avoided but he had something I wanted. Im going to make a complaint with his state atty general, but again I think most sellers here are above board as all my transactions exceeded expectations.
