My first shed. . .

. . .and I missed it because I was at work.

I come home to a panicked boyfriend; "Chinacat shed, and she's got bits stuck to her!" I go to investigate, expecting a tattered, patchwork looking gecko from the way he's talking, and discover a bright and shiny Chinacat with a tiny bit of skin on her nose and one of her back toes.

While I was trying to get the bits of skin off a very wiggly and energetic Chinacat, my boyfriend was there with the camera, taking pics and telling me to hold still the entire time.

In a couple of the pics you can see the bits of old skin, but don't worry, they're all gone now.

She lost the tip of her tail as a baby, before I got her. I think it adds to her cuteness.

Just wish she shed when I was at home. I think she was taking advice from my snake. "Now, when it comes time to shed, wait until the giant, hairless apes are gone. It drives them nuts every time!"
