Wow thats ridiculous, its kinda hard to imagine that the animals were dumped through out the state and migrated within a block of the facility. Someone needs to pay more attention to opened boxes and loose tubs.

Thats ok I know where my next vacation is gonna be.

I work less than 2 miles down the road from Strictly Reptiles. Outside, there are several different types of skinks (blue/green ones/ ones with stripes), a large spiny tailed iguana that lives in a hole in the wall outside, several cuban knight anoles (one I saw eating a bird the other day) and a whole truckload of curly tailed lizards. I am always amazed when I go outside during my breaks. It's kinda neat to see...

Here's a picture of the big spiny tail. I named her Harriet, after Harriet The Spy.

Angry

And how is this any different from all of the stray, feral, and owned outdoor cats that are torturing, maiming, and killing our native wildlife?

I used to deal a lot with a wholesaler in FL - one time when I was visiting him, we had a discussion about some of the imported reptiles populating FL. He used to bring his kids (or an employee) when he went to the airport, have them catch curly tails and other lizards in the parking lot and surrounding area.

A Cuban knight anole eating a bird? Good for him!!! Did it find a nest or something?
(I've always liked Cuban knight anoles, lol. Never had one that I considered big enough to eat even a nestling bird, though I've also never kept one in my personal collection...my only experience with them was when we had the pet shop)

Harald, this guy was beautiful, all different shades of green and pretty big, definately hardy enough to take down a baby bird...there are a LOT of wild pigeons in the area that several of the residents at the neighboring apartment complex feed...I believe it was a hatchling that had fallen out of the nest, although he had it almost 3/4 way down when I saw, and I didn't want to get too close and disturb his meal, so I let him be and I went back to work. My co-worker was actually the one who first saw it, and she ran and got me. Pretty neat.
