Sorry, guys, but it's going to have to wait until tomorrow. I've got a lot of feeding to do tonight. Besides, I would rather get some shots of her in natural light.

Thanks,

Hold one second! Mike please make my day and tell me she is related to the one I bought you some time ago. Maybe to an uncle, a great grandfather...give me something!

Dan,
Mosaic's designation was TY03F04 which translates as:
TY for Tiye (her mother)
03 for her birth year
F04 for female number 4

Your girl is TY03F09 - they are siblings!

I have only ever worked with one adult pair of Argentines, so anyone who has one of my babies, has an animal from this bloodline. Now it's just a matter of growing Mosaic up and breeding her.

Thanks,

Wow Mike, that is an incredible Argentine, how much longer until you can prove her out?

I've brought her up slowly. She's at least a year away from breeding.

Thank you! If it's genetic chances are it's recessive. You did keep the other siblings right? Males and females?

Regards.

Actually, all I have is Mosaic, a male sibling and Tiye (the mother). Mosaic's father died unexpectedly last year. It's enough to do what needs to be done to prove out any genetics that may be at work here.

I've had three litters from Tiye, but only one Mosaic - so far.

Yes, but if you breed her and all her offspring is normal-looking it may be a recessive not manifesting itself, right?

Regards.
