Michael Simonelli - MAS WholeSale

Here is the timeline of my dealings with Michael Simonelli and his business MAS WholeSale.

August 2001:  Ordered 1.1 Spider Tortoises ($800), Received them,  Good Transaction.

September 2001  Ordered 1.1 Spider Tortoises($800) AND 1.1 Adult Redfoot Tortoise ($400), Spider Tortoises arrive, one dies two days later, says he will replace it no probelm and that Redfoots will be there later in week with the replacement.

ENTER SEP 11th.  Nuf Said

Come December I still have not received the replacement tortoise or the 1.1 redfoots.  This is after many promises of "They'll be there Friday" and "I'm on my way to the airport"  etc.  Many promises, no results.

I finally gave him an ultimatim, refund my money or ship me tortoises or suffer the legal consequences.  At this point all communication stops with him and I am forced to report him to the Consumer Affairs Agency in his county in NJ.  

An investigation is started in January and the agency sends letters to him to which he does not respond.  Finally the investigator actually gets a hold of Michael on the phone and Michael indicated that he wants to work things out and that he will provide written response within 15 days.  He never does, next letter goes out from the agency and is returned as "undelieverable" with no address left.  Cell phone is shut off, there is no way for me to contact him at this point.  The only think that works is his e-mail to which he does not respond to and/or check.  So I am faced with trying to find any contact information about him so the courts can serve him with paperwork.

Anyone with other stories about him or any information about how I can contact him, please contact me at tobias76@pacbell.net or post to this forum.  There is an old post on KingSnake where a foreign exporter says he lost $10,000.00 to this guy.  He must be stopped.  Help me stop this guys if you can.  Any comments or input is welcomed on this.

Post all ythinfo you have on this guy , i know you said Ph and such was no good but post it ALL email also just because he doesnt respond to you doesnt mean he isnt still using it , maybe someone else can contact him to extract info on him .. ? I wouldnt mind trying to contact him for you to see if i can get a response for you , and if i do i could go on the premisis im looking for something he might have ! this could give the chance to get ph # and address on him . anyways just a thought to help you out might work ... might not never know till its all posted

Thanks for the vote of confidence Alan.  His name as I have said is Michael Simonelli and he has had a business name of MAS WholeSale.  His e-mail is massp11@aol.com.  This is the only current, working info I have on him.  The investigator actually suggested that I do what you have said.  Take a crack at it.

I know Michael Simonelli. the same time I  was promoting a very successful show in Matamoras, PA Well Michael started doing his own shows and picked a very business similar business, come very close to copying our flyers and even went as far as having a show around the same dates we had scheduled ours. We had a show scheduled in Harrisburg that failed and I believe it had very much been do to him. He even had the nerve to come to the show and make little comments so my girllfriend at the time could over hear what he was saying, to him it was all a joke, not to mention how high he was on drugs. I escorted him to the exit and luckily held back from knocking his @$$ out which he more than well deserved.
All I can say is to watch out for this ShAdY individual!!!!

Let's talk about Michael Simonelli...
I ordered 1.1 adult albino ball pythons from a Joe Garcia in New Mexico last year.  Joe told me he had the snakes and would ship in a week.  So I sent Joe 8000.00 dollars (the snakes had been posted for 10000.00 originaly, I offered a little less to see if he would take it, he did)  anyway after many excuses as to why he was not shippping the animals, I asked Joe to come clean on what was going on.  He was brokering animals for Michael Simonelli.  So I talked to Michael and got the same song and dance from him for a few more months.  So I got the authorities involved and Joe's mom is now sending me monthly payments to pay me back.  There is alot more to this story and a few other people were also taken advantage of with the same scam.  I have more information if someone wants to e-mail me at tpn200@aol.com.  I can give you the detective's number who has the case.  If anyone else has any information please e-mail it to me.  Other detectives ect.  I would like to keep this guy from doing it again.  This case for me at this point has become personal (the money is one thing but Joe Garcia is a young teenager)  To take advantage and run a scam through a kid is about as low in this business as you can get.  So I will try to do anything I can do to help anyone who has been taken advatage by this guy.

I am sorry for your loss in this "deal". Is this the pair of albino balls that were sold last year with the statement "no pictures available, but you won't be disappointed"?
