HEY,

DO A SEARCH BEFORE YOU ADD A NEW POST WHEN THERE IS ALREADY A TOPIC.

EXAMPLE:  THE SHAWN SKILLINGS POST, TWO PEOPLE ADDED NEW POSTS WHEN THERE WAS ONE ALREADY GOING.

I know everyone wants to tell about there great dealings, but use common sense and see if there is a post already going.

Thank You,
Torie Miller

Torie is correct.  The original design of the BOI envisioned having a single thread about each person or business, with people all adding their experiences as needed to this one thread.  That way anyone interested in that person or business would only have to locate that single thread to find out everything they needed to know.

I'm not sure this is still listed in my rules, since a lot of things have happened since the original version of the BOI.  But a little common sense may be in order.  At the very least, there really is no reason to start another thread about someone when your simply adding a new message to an existing thread will cause it to float up to the top of the page.

And believe me, I certainly have better things to do than to have to delete a handful of messages each and every day because of one rule violation or another.

If the original thread happens to be a long one though, the post may not all be read. I for one don't have time to read through 20 or more postings that some of the topics have. By the way there are nicer ways of getting a point accross than insulting people. "why don't you use common sense" Common sense should tell some people that it is Richies job to police this board.

well for spam_1 spam_thing spam_

torrie spam_u seem to spam_place comments where ever spam_you feel to spam_ even if your not involved spam_in any which way or form

but spam_ NO OFFENSE RITCHIE spam_but i beleive torrie to be wrong

in your foots steps spam_ on words you phrased in the past richtie spam_

that spam_the BOI is a place for members to come and post their thoughts ( GOOD OR BAD ) spam_ spam_ spam_about a person they have dealt with spam_and you yourself proclaimed spam_the phrase on herebefore in other threads spam_ spam_ FREEDOM OF SPEECH spam_
well spam_ i think spam_ if someone chooses to post their spam_comments where they choose spam_ spam_is up to that person spam_
i know for a fact spam_as spam_kim said spam_i wont be reading a post spam_that has 20 pages spam_on it spam_just to post my dealings spam_with someone spam_ cause we all know it wont be read
BUT I THOUGHT THE OBJECTIVE FOR BOI WAS TO POST OUR DEALINGS spam_ HERE spam_ WHEN WE DEAL WITH PEOPLE spam_
well spam_i dont remember seeing anywhere that they all had to be on the same post spam_
Ritchie u know i have nuthing against you spam_and i know u have nuthing against spam_me
(least not that u have brought to the surface )

but spam_forcing people to post their comments spam_on 1 post spam_isnt spam_ in my opinion spam_ spam_any kind of freedom spam_
and it seems to me it defeats the purpose spam_
as long as all the rules have been followed ritchie spam_you dont have to go through and delete anything spam_ spam_so in fact unless they dont add their name theres no reason for it to be deleted spam_... spam_so ur just making more work for yourself spam_ ..
i was under the impression that BOI spam_ was for that very reson for someone to post spam_what spam_expeirence they had with someone spam_ spam_this is the first in all my time coming here that i heard spam_that everyone had to post it under an existing spam_ thread spam_ (unless it delt with spam_the situation at hand ) example spam_SNAKEPIT BURGLARY spam_ spam_... now i would see your point if there were multi listings spam_for that spam_
cause its the same people over and over spam_
.... i dont know    maybe its just me  but  each person i deal with   should get the  respect and   notice  of haveing it posted on its own

thanks
shawn

Common sense and proper organization of information does not equal the end of free speech.

They show how many pages are in a thread and you can jump to the end of you like. If I'm spending $250.00 on a chameleon I'll read through 20 pages of 20 posts to make sure I don't lose $250.00 (course I'm very protective of my money &nbsp;<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> &nbsp.

Even basic human rights must be exercised in a structured manner.

Is it freedom of speech that is really the problem here or the fact that we just don't like being told sometime where we can exercise it. For many different reasons we as responsible people have to practice restraint sometimes in how and where we use our basis freedoms. In this case you have a place that has been freely made available for all people that have information and opinions that fall within the BOI structure, to post freely. The only problem that I see here is that it's personal preference that's raising the questions, not the fact that you're being told you can't post.

Plain and simply: In order to make this board managable both structurally and financially there are certain rules that have been set forth by it's creator. Lets repect both the rules and the creator by doing what he asks and not start using personal preference under the guise of lost rights to try to cause any more problems then have already surfaced recently.

Just my opinion folks.

I understand everyones individual "points". My only problem with this is that the original post from Tori was very rude and as far as I am conserned it is not her place to tell others where to post. That is the job of the Web Slave. Posting in all caps is the same as yelling and I just did not appreciate the underlying "tone" of her post. Post like that from other people besides the webslave &nbsp;himself are not necessary and just stir up trouble, but some people like that I suppose.

&nbsp; &nbsp;Just my Humble oppinion.

I don't think that Torie was wrong in posting what she did. I feel that she was not obnoxious about it at all. I think a good example of it was the second post about Shawn Skillings of the Viper House. There was a good guy post and then two posts above it was a separate good guy post. Those posts had to be made within a short period of each other. And Rich has stated on his other forum that he appreciates the help and suggestions that we give each other. His "real" job is not this forum at all, it is his cornsnake business. Right now is a very busy time of the year for him, and I know that other times of the year he has a lot of chores to do concerning his "real" job. He did post right below the original post that Torie made and he did not seem upset about her post. Just my opinion.
