pituophis melanoleucus lodingi

Female Black Pine just shed 11/09/07. First shed since I got her. The papers that came with her said she shed twice before I got her, 8/13/07 & 10/05/07 Hard to tell if it is getting darker

I think I produced a few of these back in the long ago. I know there were a bunch of albinos and I think a clutch or two of normals as well. They do get darker as they age. If the parents were black there's a good chance she will be too.

They're neat snakes.

Did you know they have an extra bit of cartilage on their epiglottis to help them make more noise when they hiss? Cool stuff.
