Male Savannah Monitor Behavior Question

Alright so I have an interesting question for Sav keepers. I came across someone selling a pair of Savs (Not on Fauna), and they were unsure of the genders. However they seemed sure one was male, they do not know about the other though.

She said they are housed together but the male is sometimes trying to "hump" the unsexed one. So do males show dominance by "humping" another male? Or is this strictly reserved for mating behavior in the males when they are with females?

They have not seen any eggs drop, so that could mean it's double males. There is noticeable color difference and possibly facial features that would suggest male/female pair. But my main question still stands. What do you guys think?
