Burn?

Cold it be a burn? You don't have a heat rock do you? Or an UTH? Thats all I can think of except for marker or what ever else I suggested. Take care Beth

Well that answers the burn question. Have you tried wiping any of the red off with warm water? Take care B

I used some hydrogen peroxide on it, didn't seem to fade or anything so I put some antibiotic on it just in case. I'll repeat that 2 more times during the day. Maybe it's a permanent marker that was used, don't know. We'll see at at the end of the day.

It really doesn't appear to be a wound, possibly a burn but you already ruled that out since you don't use a heat rock or uth (not that you should either lol). Could be marker, if you just got him a lot of breeders mark the bellys with different color markers to track babies. Cleaning it and a touch of neosporin shouldn't do any harm, maybe even a touch of antifungal cream but let's make sure it's not spreading while you're at it. Get yourself an ultra fine point sharpie, preferably some other color besides red or black, and draw the perimeter of the spot. Then watch it for a couple days and see if it spreads beyond where your lines are.

The area around the spot seems to be fading but the spot is still there. I'll find one of those sharpie's. Thanks heartmountain and beardiepal.

One more thought

Did you have her shipped or is she a petstore beardie??? If she was shipped did she have a heat pack in with her-not in her container but in the box...see I am still thinking about this, lol. Keep us updated...is the area better? Take care Beth
