We get several questions on these so I will post here on them. The only advantage we have found to them is that they are easier to scent than furred. So if you need to scent rodents with lizards or fish lets say to get something to eat they can be better. Many things that naturally take lizards, fish, amphibians etc dont normally encounter fur or feathers so the texture of the skin is not so alien to them.
As far as being easier to digest without fur that is a non issue. Healthy animals have no problems digesting and passing things such as fur and is alsoa needed source of roughage. If you have worries about impaction or other issues with fur than something is worng in your husbandry, animals or both.
Females tend to have problems lactating so for the most part you would need to foster the the babies to normal rats and mice.
They are also not as productive as healthy normal i. e. furred mice and rats.
So to sum up, They are less prolific, poor parental care, insufficient lactation and require somewhat warmer temperatures. They also cut and bruise a lot easier. Outside of maybe beaing easier to scent with lizards, snails, frogs etc and a slightly less foreign texture to animals requiring such scenting techniques they have no other advantages. The lack of fur also makes them more susceptible to temperature fluctuations.
