Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

No need to worry about Don. He is, without a doubt, one of the best in the business.

Two thumbs up !!!!!!
You CAN'T go wrong with Don Hamper.
I have known Don for 8 years ++. First as a buyer, then a employee and now a VERY good friend. I still work his table at the Columbus Show and some out of state shows.
Not only do I see his collection on a fairly regular basis, but for 2 years actually maintained it. Don is a old timer and has been breeding rare Pythons, Boas, Turtles, Lizards and Geckos since the 60's.
He has been the first to breed many species in the private sector and a nice guy to boot. I can say without a doubt that I wouldnt be where Im at without his influence. Be it breeding, contacts, investment collection or business ethics.
He does shows about every weekend, works full time, the phone rings off the hook and caring for his herps. He may be hard to reach at times, so just remember his schedule. Its best to call him instead of email. HE HATES EMAILS !! Im sure youll be pleased with your purchase.

Don has been around almost as long as there have been reptiles on the planet.
I think he was the first one to successfully breed the Brontosaurus....

Don is a great guy
I guess at this point to reiterate, Don is a great guy. He sells quality animals and conducts business very professionally. Don has been around since before I started in this business in the late 1980's and has not missed a beat. He still has a great selection and great quality. Do not fear buying from him, especially turtles.

I think all of the above posts more than cover the topic requested, but I have to add my two cents because of the person titled.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Don Hamper since 1990. He is a wonderful person and has worked with reptiles longer than I have been on this planet. He is one of the major reasons that I am as involved with herps today as I am. Few people are more giving of their time and as nice to to customers as Don.
Like Joe mentioned, he is a super busy guy but will still never short change a customer on his time. If you really want to hear some good stories, buy him a beer and sit back.

Rich, you were mistaken. It was stegasaurus.

Never bought animals from Don but Ive spoke with him numerous times at the Columbus OH reptile show, hes very helpful, knowledgable, polite and attentive. For the numerous years Ive been attending that show I have NEVER seen a overpriced or questionable animal. Cant say as Ive ever heard anything about him either.....
