Hello

Hello,

Well, if they got that defensive that is definitely not good. I am sure you are not the only one who has called with a complaint if they got that mad & would not discuss anything with you.
You use a reptisun 10 a flourescent tube bulb then? As long as it is changed every 4-5 months for optimal output & she is getting good quality calcium & foods, then there is nothing you are doing wrong.
You can either do a fecal test through Lou Ann at the U. of Illinois, or you can go through your vet to do a PCR which is a cloacal & dna swab test on the vent that is sent to the U. of Florida in Gainesville through Dr. Jacobson.
As long as she is healthy, it doesn't matter if she is a little smaller.

You know it's funny, if you look at their "available" page, you will notice that the blood red dragons are much smaller in size than any other dragon they offer, and are smaller compared to the national average... Blood red dragons are usually very large built dragons because of GG crossings in the past, but at 3 months they should be larger than 6", just take a look a the rest of their 3 month old bloodlines, and you will notice a much longer/larger dragons... Obviously they either have small "blood" breeders, or they have been inbreeding to much... Larger breeders do tend to inbreed a lot to retain/increase the color they need/want!

But breeding small breeders with usually amount to smaller offspring...

Wow this is not a good recommendation... I know most bearded dragons like to have a body temperature of 93-94 degrees for proper digestion, and for being active... This is not correct, and even in the past this was would have been way off!

Quote:
A basking light should be provided at one end of the cage. The temperature at the basking area should reach 90 deg f with the other end of the enclosure being room temperature 74 deg f.
