Jessee Fricker AKA tail shaker (BAD?)

Ok my first buying experience on here has not gone well. I paid him $88.00 plus the cost of Western Union (because I wanted to hurry and either put a deposit on the female he had or just pay for her outright which I did). This was on January 27th. I kept getting emails saying the weather was too bad and he would ship her in a day or so. I said that's ok as long as she is safe. Well I started looking elsewhere and found a couple of Cresteds where I work that I like and bought them and told him to just go ahead and refund my money, and if she was still available when the weather was better that I would still take her. He assured me that he would ship her for Saturday delivery last week. I get up Saturday morning and wait and wait. No Crested arrived. I called him and no answer and emailed him. I had to go to work that afternoon and was afraid she would be delivered and sit on the porch in the cold. She still didn't arrive. So I emailed him and told him I would like my refund the next day or I would leave negative feedback on the boards for him. He replied there was no need for that kind of talk and that I would be "more than compensated by the next evening". Well I still haven't been refunded nor have I heard anything else from him. Last night was the night I was supossed to be "compensated". Now I'm not a "hard core" breeder or anything. I was given a male Crested and started learning about them and think they are fun little critters to have and pretty easy to take care of. I do want to start breeding them. But now I am leary of buying on here because I don't personally know anyone I can trust. If anyone knows Jesse will you call him and tell him this is no way to treat people. I think I have been very understanding and patient, but now I just want my money back and be done with this whole ordeal. I have all the emails and PM's on this whole deal.

I don't get it. The seller can't ship because of weather so you look and purchase elsewhere and now you want a refund? Evidently it wasn't okay with you or you would have waited. Seems to me you're owed a crested when the weather breaks, not a refund

I'd be interested in Jesse's explanation.

He kept telling me he was going to ship and it would be ok. I got tired of waiting and said I would take a refund, and that is now what I want. I work 7 days a week and have cancelled a class so I would be home or at work to get this Crested. Now I just want a refund and will buy later when the weather is warmer or buy locally. What's to understand? I told him if she is still available when the weather is better I will buy her.
It has been since January 27th since I paid for her. If the weather is that bad where he is then let me have my money back. It was not a deposit it was the full amount, and I don't want to wait months on it. He said he would ship last week and I have had no reason why he didn't. I don't feel good about this transaction and want to end it now.

Jerry,

I am quite sure you would prefer to receive an animal that was alive and healthy, so I can understand the shipper waiting for a break in the weather. However, if he then informed you that he would ship on a certain day, and failed to do that you have grounds for a complaint. Good luck!

That is exactly what happened. And I had to go to work that day without knowing if she would arrive after I left or not. I called Jesse and also emailed him to let him know I was concerned about the shipment. Then I emailed him a couple of days ago asking about my refund and told him I didn't want to leave negative feedback on the board about him and he said there was no need for that and I would be more than compensated last night. Well I never heard from him or got compensated. He has my email and cell phone number. Now I just want to end the whole transaction.

Look, I'm not saying Jesse hasn't done anything wrong but in your original post it seemed you agreed to wait until the weather was better but still looked for another supplier, and purchased from another supplier. It appeared Jesse didn't give you a shipping date until after you asked for a refund. That's the part of this that I have a problem with.

As far as Jesse missing a Saturday delivery, and your skipping class as a result, that is wrong also.

No I didn't ask for a refund until after this past Saturday when she wasn't delivered. That's when I decided to try him again when the weather was better. He has offered to give me a discount and also to refund the cost of Western Union. I told him don't worry about the discount and if he would Western Union my refund we could call it even. It cost me 19.00 to WU and he said he could do it cheaper, and that's fine with me. I talked to him on the phone in the begining and he seems like a nice guy. I just don't understand why it has taken so long to ship her. I know there has been a good day to ship since the payment was made. It's been excuse after excuse: someone called out at work so he couldn't leave early, he was out of heat pack, the weather was bad, then he said he was shipping her last Friday for Sat delivery. And the only time I have heard from him is when I said I didn't want to leave bad feedback for him on the board. He then told me "there was no reason for that kind of talk" and I would be "more than compensated by the next evening". That was last night and I haven't heard anything from him since. It was only $88.00 but I work 7 days a week to have what I have and still have trouble making it from time to time. I just want to be treated fairly and hope I do the same for all the people I deal with.

Your story is a little inconsistent.. It is very cold across the United States at the moment.. I've got an adult het albino female boa that is paid in full but I am not demanding that she be shipped immediately.. Buying live animals during the winter comes with an inconvenience, there are small gaps (if any at all) of time that animals can be shipped safely. You made your payment on the 27th which was a Saturday, within the following few days you purchased elsewhere.. I don't know why you agreed to wait for weather when you had no intentions on giving it a shot. In your first post you mentioned that you found something else and would like a refund, it was then that he promised to ship the animal for Saturday delivery, the first Saturday after you made the payment. You seem a little quick on the gun, rushed payment, didn't wait for weather like agreed and bought different animals. If the guy responded to you, give him some time to make good.. I've promised animals on a shipment date and missed it in the past, things happen.. Give him some time to explain before you try to hang him.
