Placed and order and paid by Paypal last Friday thru their website. I haven't heard a word from them. Their Phone number is always busy but their fax number works.
E-mail address is: lizard@gbis.com
I have sent them several e-mails, a fax and have tried to call them a bunch of times. Does anyone know anything about them or if there is a problem?
Thanks in advance.

I MIGHT have an answer for you!! I HAVE done business with Larry before, we have also spoke on the phone....from what I understand (and I could be TOTALLY wrong), Larry and his partner spend DAYS at a time IN THE DESERT collecting WC specimens for resale to us!! Horney Toads and things like that! I've NEVER known him to be dishonest...especially when he probably doesn't even know you sent him money, yet (unless the two of you actually spoke or emailed)!! Give it some time....I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation....Neil

I ordered a pair of Desert COllared lizards from him last summer and I was VERY pleased with not only the animals, but with the communication. Âspam_We never spoke on the phone, just through e-mailing and his service was excellent.

I think you can check your paypal account and see whether or not the payment has been accepted by him. He may not haved picked it up yet. It sounds from the other posts that you have nothing to worry about, but that's easier said than done. If you decide against the purchase, I am pretty certain you can withdraw or cancel the payment if it has not yet been claimed. He will probably get back to a million calls and emails as usual and contact you then.

THIS will answe your questions!! It's an E-Mai I JUST RECEIVED from Ciro Spino....

Hi,
I was wondering if you could do me a favor, since you posted and we have emailed each other before. For some reason, it wont let me post. Please post that Larry shuts his business down around October/November (he has to shut down as the animals go into hibernation!&#33 and doesnt open up until spring. From the guys post it seems that he purchased and paid for animals without exchanging emails or anything. I cannot understand why he would purchase and pay for animals without confirming the availability of them. Anyways, Larry is on the east coast now and probably wont get back to Nevada for another month or so, maybe sooner. He is from the east and comes here for a few months. Anyways, thanks for your time.
Ciro Spina

Hope this helps!! ....Neil

Thanks for the help everyone.
I should have asked before I ordered but I guess i just took
for granted since there was nothing indicating any type of closure time on the website and that the items on his list looked to be available, I jumped to conclusions.
Oh woe with me. I'll have to wait until he checks his e-mail or his Paypal account. If both people are verified a payment can not be withdrawn from what I can see.
It's not a problem. The constant busy signal on the phone kinda confused me too. No matter what time you called it was always busy and still is. Thanks again Neil and everyone else.

Hello,
Larry and Cheryl are excellent herp folks...I have done business with them for years as I collect in Texas so we compliment each other by supplying each other reptiles...But back to main theme..They stay in New York during off season as that is where they are originally from and still maintain a family construction company there...He will be back in Neveda in march to get ready for chuckwallas...
Thanks and Happy Herping!!

Hi again everyone,
I'd just like to thank everone again for all your extremely helpful info and also let you all know that I received a phone call from Larry today (owner of Desert Reptile) and we had a very nice long chat.
He is back on the west coast now and as stated by Richard from WesTexReps, It will be awhile before things will be up and rolling as far as collecting goes.
Larry does spend about 3 months of the year not to far from me on the east coast and we've already made plans to get together this coming November for supper somewhere.
I must say that Larry is a super nice individual and is extremely compassionate about his business. I have already decided to put in a much bigger order then I had originally, and will be ordering alot more from him in the coming months. You won't go wrong by dealing with Larry.
Thanks again everyone.
And you too Larry!!!
