Hog Set Up?

I am planning on getting a male neonate Western Hognose snake this coming week.

I am planning on using a 10 gallon aquarium with a 6"X11" heat mat.

a water dish and a hide will be provided of course.

Is there anything else I need to get prepared for this animal and will this setup last its lifetime?

You could use a 10 gallon for life for a male but if you are sticking with aquariums for caging, I'd think of a 20 gallon for an adult. I've always errored on giving more space per individual then less.

Thanks for the response! This animal will probably be moved to a larger area in the next year or so, as well as all my other snakes. I do not like aquariums very much and I was asking out of curiosity.
