I am a newbie, but I think your idea is great! I don't think the politicians or anyone else should be able to tell you what kind of pets you can keep in your home. As long as you are responsible there should not be a problem. I have been into dogs for awhile and the dogs I raised were known to be "mean", Dobermans and Rotts. If you have one of those breeds in your home your homeowners insurance goes up. That is not fair either. But because these breeds of dogs have attacked people, that makes all of them "bad". That is unfair to the "good" dogs of these breeds. I am all for signing any petiton or helping in any way that I can, as far as reptiles goes. People need to be more educated, and understand that not all reptiles and reptile owners are bad people. (In fact most of the ones I have met are extremely nice and helpful). Count me in!!!!
