Joe,

If you want to talk like adults on the phone, I’m fine with it. Like you I’m sure, I want this to be over. Take a day if you want. Let’s throttle down. I can call PayPal today to see how to end this as fast as possible. I will let them know you are refunding, I believe you and I both have shipping insurance for this. I will call them later.

Joe,

I just got off the phone with PayPal.
I was advised NOT to return the snake unless I have a refund first or the dispute is final. Simply because the mistake caused mistrust from the start and too many people (on my end of these disputes) get cheated by the seller when they return the snake without buyer protection.

I don’t have buyer protection until they give me the green light.

Yeah, that's not happening. I'm not protected at all if you return a dead snake so I'll go ahead and give them a call as well.

It is still a matter of trust. What happens if the receiver claims the animal was dead on arrival, or if it was a different animal than was supposed to be sent (that would be an irony). PayPal retrieves its $$ and the buyer is left with nada.

And if this arrangement is true, it seems odd that Charles has not received notification via PayPal yet.
