Hi, First let me state that all three companies mentioned have all been great to do business with. Second let me say that I made a terrible miscalculation in my follicle fondling of my female Royal Pythons. Well not terrible. There are two clutches in my hovabator and at least two more(unexpected) on the way. I was going to build my own out of a freezer next year when I would hopefully have seven clutches from Royals and two from Borneo Bloods. I don't feel it's safe to build it now and put eggs in it without trying it out for at least a month.
The Big A incubator is 154.99+tax more, but it seems to offer more. spam_It also comes w/ a Big Apple Therm. Does anyone have experience with this incubator or The Big A Therm? How many Royal Python clutches will it realisticly hold?

If your breeding projects are in the expansion mode I would probably consider an incubating room rather than an expensive incubator. A small room (big closet) with temps controlled with a thermostat and a couple of fans (high and low) for air circulation is more than plenty to succesfully hatch reptile eggs. Eggs are placed in plastic buckets half-way filled with vermiculite and covered with a glass cover. The buckets are either placed on the floor or on shelves. That's the way VPI is hatching their ball pythons. You can go to any Menards and build a state of the art, thermostatically controlled incubating chamber at a fraction of the cost of any commercial incubator. But you are right this is maybe next years project.
