Long shot
The cubs are dead this season. They, like the red sox, always find a way to absolutely blunder everything. And now, the 2 cursed teams are trading eachother players. If the player cant make a difference on one team, which has a better post-season track record than your own team, what makes you think he will be of assistance in your own town?
Being from Mass, I grew up a yankee fan, simply because I like rivalry, and my dad, sister, and mom are all Red Sox fans. In my little cown town of Mass, which borders the infamous, baseball-less state of CT is split, about 50/50 with Yankee and Red Sox.
I have no pride in my state's sports at all.
I like the Yankees, not the Bo Sox,
I like the Eagles/Packers, not the Pat's
I like the Dallas Stars, not the Bruins.
I like the Miami Heat, not the Celtics.
Here are some good ole sayings for a couple of the Mass teams...
Boston Dead Sox,Boston Red Sux, or combination thereof.
Boston Ruins.
I havent been able to coin one up for the Pat's, or Celtics yet.
Let me know if any of you guys have any for them.
Fun post, though it may get me jumped by a group of hardcore boston fans.
Mike Fortier.
