Incubator temp fluctuating?

I don't have any eggs yet, but I've had my incubator set up for a few weeks now and the temps fluctuate between 82 degrees and 84 degrees. Will it hurt the eggs whenever I do have any?
This is my first clutch....How do you tell when a snake is going to lat eggs? Or can you tell at all?

The fluctuation you are speaking of will not cause any harm to the eggs.

While there are usual signs to pre-laying though they do not always follow the "rules". Stopping of eating a pre-lay shedding are signs. I would suggest picking up Kathy Loves book which is a must read for cornsnake breeding which will easily explain the process.

ok, thanks!
A few of my corns came from her too. I'll have to see about getting a copy.

It's a bit late in the year for Corn Snakes to be laying eggs. When did you see the snakes breed? The temperature fluctations you mentioned will not harm the eggs. My Corn Snakes usually lay eggs 10 days after shedding.

That's a pretty corn. Kind of looks like my son's albino.

It generally takes 6 weeks from breeding to egglaying for corns.
