Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Put him inside a pillow case together with a wet towel and tie it with a knot. Don't forget to moisten the towel with lukewarm water and place the pillowcase with the snake and towel inside the terrarium. You don't want her to get chilled in a cold, moist environment. Check every two hours to see if she has rubbed the shed off.

I would give him a few days without messing with him - a retained eyecap is not a huge problem. After you give him 3-4 days without handling him, try to feed him. Then you can decide how to proceed with the eyecap. IF you opt to remove it, make sure you soak him for awhile first, then do the wet towel thing that Dan described above. A different school of thought would say that if he is eating, leave it alone. At his next shed, after he clears, start soaking him and increase the humidity of the enclosure to ease the shedding process. *note - if you choose this option, be aware that if the eyecap doesn't come off with that shed, there will be 2 retained caps.

Glad to hear everything went fine. Harald gave you sound advice, priority number one should be to have him recuperate some weight. Start with small preys first. I'm not sure if this boa was used to live or F/T. If you choose live (and taking into consideration her size) I would start with a large mouse or a rat pup. Remember not to leave the live mouse overnight with the boa though!
Good luck.

What's up with your ad? Weren't you supposed to take the boa to the vet again this week? He was not feeding for you last week and now he eating F/T rats just fine? Great shape? That's a huge over-statement and you know it! That animal is far from being in great shape. In fact you were told it was in bad shape and needed to put more weight.

Well I'm sorry but in one week, an animal that was not eating, and was severly undernourished cannot be in great shape. An animal that had lost some teeth due to mouth rot is not in great shape, and animal that was making wheezing sounds and has a retained eye spectacle is not in great shape. Even if you are giving it for free you might jeopardize the health of the animals in someone else's collection. You are saying you are disclosing all this to interested buyers. That's not what your ad states.
