I'm sorry to hear you lost your Butter, Steve. My heart goes out to you.

I just lost my Amel Stripe keeper last week from unknown reasons. It sucks, but sometimes they're just not meant to live.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm going to miss this little girl.

I called Petland today and spoke with the manager and explained what happened (well first I had to explain what a butter corn was ) and he just told me "sorry, not my problem but he has a corn for sale if I want it".

THAT ticked me off. Do these guys work on comission or something?

He seemed nice up until he tried to sell me a replacement corn.

I spoke with the person who bred this snake. I do not hold him responsible for the death. It looks like a fluke thing to me. Either it was not meant to survive or I ended up with a bad food item the other day. I am taking responsibility for what happened.

He has offered me a credit for the price of the butter on any future order. That is going above and beyond what he ever needed to do.

Wow,What a nice guy! That turns this sucky situation into some cool possibilities. You could use this credit to upgrade to something more pricey? That way you get something cool and he still makes a little something. Then you won't have to feel guilty about taking advantage of their kindness.
Once again ,What a great guy! Can you share this persons name with us?I know I would like to know of another admirable breeder that I could trust to buy from in the future if I had the chance.
