More Rainbow Babies!

On Monday, October 3, Living Gems was pleased to welcome the Caesarion-Malachite litter to this world. Mom delivered a large litter of 20 little nippers late in the evening, and I arrived home just as the early explorers exited the nest.

Dad Caesarion is a beautiful orange male that traces from the famous (and now unfortunately rare) Tim Frazier bloodline:

His last litter numbered 19, so he’s gotten better at his job.

Mom Malachite is a reddish female who is skeptical of this whole human idea:

Her last litter numbered 22, so this was roughly on par.

So beautiful! How do you clean up the babies? Do you wash them, or just put them on damp paper towels or somesuch and let them do the cleaning up, themselves?
