Yeah, DEFINITELY moving along! There are a good number of forced induction options for the Corvette available. None of them seem to be *perfect*, however. And in some cases, I get the feeling that what is being sold are still just evolving prototypes.

The only issue I have with the picture Bobby posted is by gutting and adding around 20 or so inches to that vette's wheelbase they ruined any value a vette collector may have in it. Yet on the other hand if it is some super famous drag car a drag car collector may pony up some big bucks for it. look at the old 1978 anniversery edition. Use to not be worth more than regular market value, but now it is higher than regular market value if it is in good condition. And try finding a 1988 anniversery edition. Darn next to impossible!

I think that many of the funny cars never even really used any parts of the cars that they resembled. The body shape of the original was mostly just a template to be used, and the body was made from a single moulding of lightweight material and just draped over the frame and drivetrain.

Interesting that this comes up, as Connie and I went to the Garlits Drag Racing Museum outside of Ocala, Florida today to meet up with a whole bunch of Corvette enthusiasts and tour the museum. Pretty darned interesting place, if you are into that kind of thing. We just wanted to get the heck out of here this entire weekend before things start getting bogged down with the animals again. They came out of brumation weekend before last, so "fun" time is about over with for this year.

I lived about 12 miles from the Garlits Drag Racing Museum when I was stuck down in Florida and never got a chance to go see it. Weekdays were spant working and weekends were spent in Tampa at The Hard Rock with various local Tampa women I met at various local clubs due to there not being a club in Ocala except for one country western bar. I went once and never went back.
