There are not many people(especially tv personalities) that I think of as cool, neat people Id like to meet but Steve Irwin was one of the few who I really liked..This just plain SUCKS, especially for his wife and kids...Its the end of a good thing.....

Mr Irwin's passing is a real shame. He was a true champion of the environment and it's creatures.

With all that Mr Irwin has done to educate and promote a respect for herpetology, perhaps with the permission of the original poster, a moderator could change the title of this thread to something more respectful to Mr Irwin and his family.

Agreed also....this is a man, who no matter how "silly" he seemed at times, was deserving of something much more respectful. His "silliness" came from pure joy of the creatures he worked with.....what a different place this world would be if all of us shared the same enthusiasm and love for the critters we worked with.

On a side note, Cant you just see Steve Irwin saying "Crikey, one of them buggers finally got me"...I loved that guy and am very sad, I just expected him to live alot longer yet before something bad happened....

You left out the winky. Sorta indicative of playing around.

I can see NOW though, were it would be a distasteful remark to make. I appologize for it.
