What morph projects are you working on?

OK, previously I asked who you got your breeders from. Now I'd like to know what type of morphs/projects are you currently working on? All one type, multiple morphs????

Regards,

Terry

Golden Gate Geckos
my menagerie

I am producing these morphs this year:
- jungles
- stripes
- hypo-tangs
- blizzards
- tangernine albinos
- patternless
- striped albinos
- reverse striped albinos
- albino x patternless
- albino x tangerine
- patternless CT's

Since I don't line breed, I won't be coming up with any "new" morphs... just improving the existing ones! Here's one of my patternless CT's (they've been playing rough during breeding...)

A few projects I'm working on.
Tremper albinos.

Some Rainwater stripes.

Some patternless albino's.

I'm hoping for some tangerine Bell albinos.

This lone female is het RW albino and was breed to an abberant RW male.

Their are some semi normals in the mix as well. I think that my collection will probally triple for next year. The leopard gecko is so fun to work with. The genetic diversity is amazing. So many morphs to work with. I can't commit to any in particular. Good luck to everyone with their projects.

Has anyone seen an albino bizzard (of any line) in person? I am just curious.

I see that many breeders have multiple projects. Is this to have more variety to offer for sale? As far as producing new and/or working on existing morphs go, might it be more productive to focus on one to get the best results?

Variety is the spice of life!

No! In my case I have such a variety of leo morphs because I like them all! It has nothing to do with offering a bigger variety, it is because I want a larger variety to look at every day!

It may be more productive to focus on one morph, but I like more than one morph and I think I have done pretty well focusing on several each year. I mean, I would not enjoy my collection near as much if it were all hypo tangerine carrot tails! Part of the fun and enjoyment of breeding leopard geckos (for me) is to try and create new color and pattern morphs by combining existing ones. I think if I did not have a lot of variety in my leopard gecko collection I would not enjoy breeding them near as much as I do now. I'm just an addict, I want them all!
