Give it a little time. An hour and a half isn't that long. Yeah, they bite. Anything with a mouth can bite you, and a lot of them will from time to time. I got bit by my childrens python a few days ago. Get the snake when it is little and handle it frequently as it grows. And remember, you will get bit.

My blood python definitely fits its' name...it likes to draw blood!!! It's still a baby so I'm hoping it'll grow out of it..but questionable.
Also my Ball Python is sometimes nippy but usually they make great pets. My Kenyan Sand Boa has NEVER bitten (yet). Red Tail boa's need to be handled while young so when they're 10+ feet long they don't bite. Green Tree Pythons (especially babies) seem to be quite nippy. That's all I have experience with so can't help you with anything else..good luck

Most of my Amazons will bite the crap out of you given half a chance. I got bitten by a juvie while removing shed by hand twice just the other day. You get used to it over time.

I disagree however you are prone to get bit

I have had over 16 snakes and I never got bit.
