So here is my adopted Tegu. I don't know whether it is male or female but I refer to her as a she until further detection.
So I found out that she was purchased at A Place for Pets in Burien, WA. The in turn got her supposedly from a guy here in washington that got her from a breeder but no one knows what breeder. She was hatched in August of 2006. She is currently 26-1/2 inches long but I have no weight on her because she doesn't like the fruit scale.
She's a very calm tegu and she likes to be petted. I've taken to bringing her in every night and putting her on the cat tree by my computer where she can lounge around and get pets anytime she want. She's not shy about demanding attention and will just crawl over the keyboard into my lap if she is bored.
She's not quite sure about the cats though, the older two don't mind her but the little cat thinks her tail is neat to play with. You can tell she gets annoyed when he starts pawing her tail. She's also established that the back of my desk chair is hers. The kitten used to climb up there but not anymore. That is now Tegu country, unless she's in her pen and then the kitten is up there gloating.
