I said lettuce. This seems flawed, and what do you mean "warped"?

Such an old thread, but what the heck~
A vivid image of celery popped into my head when I did this, so I guess I'm "warped".
Also just to test it again, I shouted this out to my mother in another room. Word for word, it went exactly like this.

*After the math questions*
Me: "Okay, now quick! Think of a vegetable!"
Mom: "Wait, a vegetable?"
Me: "A vegetable! Name what kind you thought of! Quick! Quick!"
Mom: "Squash!"
Me: "What?"
Mom: "Squash. Then zucchini, corn, turnips."
Me: "Anything else?"
Mom: "Ummm. Cauliflower, broccoli, lima beans, kale, green beans, peas..."
Me: "That's it?
Mom: "Okra? Saukraut? Radishes? Fennel? What do you need this for anyway?"
Me: "Nothing, just keep going."
Mom: "Onions? Leeks? Beats? Rhubarb? Hold on, let me ask Grandma-"
Mom: "-She says you forgot jalapenos and wants to know if cabbage and lettuce count."
Me: "They do, but it's not what I'm after."
Stepdad shouting from the kitchen: "POTATOES!"

I swear carrots never once entered the equation! Maybe this warped'ness is genetic!

Sorry, that should be "beets".
And let the record show that nobody in my family got "carrots" on their own. After some more conversation, Grandma said parsnip and I let her have it.
