My photo booth

This is my basic set up. It consists of either my Canon power shot A70 or my Canon digital rebel. I also use a Quantray QDC 900WA hot shoe flash. I use the flash detached from the camera with the diffuser attached. It fires remotely, it does not need to be attached although it can be mounted directly on the camera.

Around here (the midwest) you never know if you you will ever see the sun again. I have found it necessary to use the flash. I have also included two pics of the same RW albino.
With flash.

Same gecko without the flash.

The colors in both are very true. In the flash picture the colors are actually a little washed out.

The more pictures you take the more you learn.

I didn't want to take over anyone elses thread but wanted to explain how I take my pics.

It's really not that elaborate.
It's a camera, a flash, a piece of fabric and a tile. LOL

All of these pictures were taken w/ flash, the 2 geckos are my Super Giant 62 gram female form Aubrey's Reptiles and the other is LV albino het bliz from garrick deymeyer. I think this makes for a good comparison.
This is the booth

These are the LV albino and Super tremper giant.

You forgot the magic ingredient - the gorgeous geckos!!!!

I really need to work on my technique. I try to use natural sunlight, but often the pictures turn out dark if the flash doesn't go off. I'd like to figure out the right lighting so I don't have to wait for a sunny day!
